Crimes Nearby: NUMC Burglarized, Fireworks Arrest

A look at recent crime in the Levittown area.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

East Meadow

    •    On Feb. 26 a woman's wallet was removed from her shopping cart in Walgreens. The wallet was recovered and $39 was taken.

    •    On March 2, the window of car parked in the New York Sports Club parking lot on Merrick Avenue was broken. Items were also removed.

    •    William Fink, 45, of Baldwin was arrested after he allegedly removed numerous patient medical records from Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow on Friday, Nassau County Police said. Read the story here.

Levittown

    •   
On March 1, a car was damaged outside Island Trees High School in Levittown.

Wantagh

    • 
   The driver side of a vehicle parked at Chase Bank on 1201 Wantagh Ave. in Wantagh was found damaged on Feb. 28.

    •    A vehicle parked in the Wantagh Long Island Rail Road Station parking lot had a window broken and GPA and radio removed on Feb. 28.

    •    A patio table was reported stolen from the backyard of a home on Beverly Road in Wantagh on March 3.

    •    A 15-year old male from Wantagh was arrested Thursday and charged with setting off a firework at a Wantagh Elementary School playground last summer. For more on the story, click here.
