Division Senior Wins Students Building Bridges Award
Levittown salutatorian wins award given in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Division Avenue Senior and Class of 2015 Salutatorian Christopher Thompson received the Nassau County State Senate and Assembly Delegations’ Students Building Bridges Award in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah).
During the commemoration at Hofstra University, State officials and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island honored Christopher and other high school recipients, who are working to create a more civil society by volunteering, building ties across different communities and working on intergenerational projects. For his Eagle Scout project, Christopher built a sun shelter for the Levittown Senior Center. He is the Captain of the Division Avenue track team and an award-winning Science Olympian. Christopher will attend SUNY Binghamton this fall, where he plans to study engineering.
