Beloved LI Restaurant To Close Next Month After Nearly 60 Years

The eatery, which as hosted years of celebrations, will see its final day in June, but says it's "hopeful this is not the last chapter."

LEVITTOWN, NY — After six decades in business, Domenico's Restaurant is shutting down.

The popular Italian restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown will end operations on June 29. It marks the time of an era, as Domenico's was part of multiple generations of memories for 58 years.

"We will forever be grateful for this community," the eatery posted on Facebook.

The Domenico's family said they are "hopeful that this is not the last chapter," but as of now "nothing is concrete."

They encourage customers to visit for a farewell in the final weeks.
