Investigation Into Overdose Leads To Arrest Of Drug Dealer: Nassau PD
Police say Jeffrey Huffman was selling drugs out of his apartment.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Nassau County police say the investigation into a fatal drug overdose led to the arrest of a drug dealer in Levittown on Friday.
According to police, detectives had been investigating complaints about drug activity in Levittown for several months, including a fatal overdose that occurred on March 26.
The investigation led detectives to a garage apartment on Miller Place in Levittown. The apartment was rented by Jeffrey Huffman, 39. On April 29, police say detectives saw Huffman sell drugs to another man. After the sale, police say detectives approached the man and found crack cocaine on him. He was placed under arrest.

Later that day, police searched the apartment along with Town of Hempstead Code Enforcement in case there were code violations. Police say they recovered about $7,800 in cash, about 130 glassine envelopes containing heroin, as well as cocaine and crack cocaine. Huffman was arrested.
Huffman is charged with seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
