Island Trees High School Named Among Top Schools in America
The school moved up to 779 from 885 a year ago.

Newsweek Magazine has named Island Trees High School among the top 2,000 secondary schools in America for 2013. Â
 This year, Island Trees High School jumped from 885 to number 779 in the rankings. Criteria included the four-year, on-time graduation rate, the percentage of students accepted to college, Advanced Placement Tests taken per student, the average of students enrolled in at least one AP course, the average AP score and the average SAT score.Â
"Congratulations to the faculty, staff, and students of Island Trees High School and the entire Island Trees community!" said Island Trees Superintendent Charles Murphy.Â
