Island Trees HS Inducts 23 Into Music Honor Society

The Island Trees High School Music Department is proud to announce the induction of 23 students into the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Tri-M, a program of the Music Educators National Conference, recognizes high school students for their musical and academic achievements.

The ceremony was organized by the chapter advisor Mr. Greg Warnokowski who welcomed the honorees and their families.  Town of Hempstead Councilman Gary Hudes was the honored guest speaker.
 
Mr. Stephen Connolly, substitute music teacher and director of the spring musical, “Sound of Music” was inducted as an honorary lifetime member of Tri-M.  

The audience was treated to a variety of musical performances by Brendan Beiersdorfer, Samantha Koenig, David Mannlein, Prateek Thakur, Gabriella Trezza and the saxophone ensemble, “The Saxletes.” The Chamber Orchestra performed the processional music and Alexis Seminario sang the Star Spangled Banner.  

Congratulations to the following Tri-M inductees: Rosa Ardezzone, Gerald Koenig, Ashley Rottkamp, Niha Chaudhry, Michael Leone, Alexis Seminario, Joseph Darcy, Deanna Lupo, Estefanía Torres, Lauren Darcy, Kayla Marsac, Rebecca Walsh, Paige Fazio, Crysta Morse, Kelsey Waterbury, Kasey Friedenreich, Anthony Muscarello, Courtney Weinberg, Jack Gundersen, Krystle Pascual, Brian Welsh, Charley Kim, Samantha Petry.
