Island Trees Students Perform at Islanders Game

Submitted by Dr. Roger Bloom, Principal of Island Trees Memorial Middle School.

Members of the 5th and 6th grade chorus at Island Trees Memorial were given the great honor of performing the song "Upside Down" during the first intermission of the game between the New York Islanders and the Montreal Canadians on Thursday, March 21.

Supported by over 300 members of the Island Trees community in attendance at the game, the chorus was given a loud round of applause from the over 9,000 fans in attendance at the conclusion of their performance.

The representatives of the New York Islanders were so impressed by the performance of the chorus that they were invited to perform again at another game next year, said Dr. Roger Bloom, Principal at Island Trees Memorial.
"Congratulations to the 5th and 6th grade chorus and their talented director, Mr. Stephen Connolly. We are so proud of you!," said Bloom.
