The district says that, in addition to maintaining current academics, the budget will also fund the enhancement of the elementary schools' ELA program. It would also help implement the Seal of Civic Readiness, a new diploma endorsement to show that graduating high schoolers are proficient in civic competencies.

In addition to the budget, residents will be voting on Proposition 2, which would create a 2022 capital reserve fund of $25 million. The money would be used to pay for repairs, renovations and improvements across the district over the next 10 years. The money would come from budget appropriations, unappropriated fund balances and transfers from reserves, and would not impact taxes.
