Levittown 5th Grader Breaks CYO Swimming Record

Justen Lopez, a 5th grader from Levittown, recently captured the CYO Boys 10 and under 25 yard breaststroke title, breaking a record in the process.

Lopez, who attends Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Meadow and swims for Holy Family CYO in Hicksville, helped his team win the title in the Boys 10 & under 100 Yard Freestyle Relay as well as the Boys 10 under Medley Relay, breaking both relay records from 2003 and 2006.

Overall, Lopez is ranked in the Top 10 of the NY Metropolitan Swimming Association in 50 Yard Breaststroke, with an 8th Place finish during the Metro Zone Team Qualifiers in February held at Lehman College in the Bronx.
