Levittown 80-Year-Old Hit, Killed By Car, Police Say

The woman was hit by a car in Queens and knocked to the ground. Police say the car then hit her a second time.

LEVITTOWN, NY — An 80-year-old Levittown woman was hit by a car and killed in Queens after a driver slammed into her as she crossed the street. Soon Ok Han was crossing 41st Avenue at Murray Street around noon Friday when a Honda Civic that had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection knocked into her, police said.

Han was knocked to the ground and the car hit her a second time, NYPD investigators determined.

Emergency responders rushed Han to New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Queens where she died.

The 61-year-old driver was not hurt, police said.

No arrests have been made.
