Levittown Basketballer Scores 1,000th Career Point

LEVITTOWN, NY — Division Avenue High School basketballer Olivia Agunzo recently reached a milestone after scoring her 1,000th point while playing for the team.

Agunzo reached the milestone during the home game against North Shore on Dec. 28. It was a celebratory occasion as she hit a free throw toward the end of a tight game.

Family and friends in the crowd made posters and brought balloons to mark the momentous achievement.

While Agunzo has obtained such a bright moment in her athletic career, she continues to confidently look ahead to the future. “I’m very proud of myself,” she said, “but I’m more focused on what’s to come.”
