LEVITTOWN, NY — Firefighters were called to a fast food restaurant in Levittown early Monday after receiving a phone alarm for a possible electrical fire, but an ensuing search turned up negative.

Around 3:15 a.m. Monday, the Levittown Volunteer Fire Department received a phone alarm at a burger chain on Hempstead Turnpike, near Hamlet Road, officials told Patch. Firefighters arrived to duct work cleaners using water on the ducts, causing an electrical emergency inside the restaurant.

Firefighters isolated electrical breakers and checked the store for any electrical fire. That search was negative, officials said.
