LEVITTOWN, NY — Students and local organizations were recently honored by Levittown Public Schools. Commended students and National Hispanic Scholars from Division Avenue and General Douglas MacArthur High School were recognized during the Board of Education meeting Nov. 13, as were members of the Levittown Kiwanis Club and Nassau County Crossing Guards.

"Thank you for the countless hours you have dedicated to others," Todd Winch, assistant superintendent for instruction, said in announcing the Kiwanis members.

Tonie McDonald, the superintendent, echoed Winch's sentiment in acknowledging the crossing guards.
