Levittown Students Take Home Record 30 DECA Awards

The Division Avenue students set a new school record with their medals. One student will go on to the international competition.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Students in the Distributive Education Clubs of America chapter at Division Avenue High School recently set a new school record after receiving 30 awards at the New York State DECA Awards Ceremony. One student qualified to go to the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nineteen students in the Division Avenue DECA chapter won metals. Guruansh Kohli won a total of five metals and came in first place in the Automotive Services Marketing category, qualifying him to compete at the ICDC.

Other team members include Manas Verma, Vineet Josan, Vivian Leon-Jin, Matt Mazza, Aftab Khan, Ritika Patel, Yasseen Bayoumy, Sean Munoz, Brendan Connolly, Ronan Postance, Aakash Veeravalli, Gary Nepravishta and Karan Shah.
