Levittown Teen Hurt In Football Game Leaves Hospital: Report

The teen fell on his head and suffered a back injury Saturday during a game between Division Avenue​ and Bethpage.

LEVITTOWN, NY — A 15-year-old Levittown high school student who was severely hurt during a game in Bethpage and had to be flown to a hospital has returned home, according to a report.

The junior varsity football player fell on his head and suffered a back injury Saturday morning between Division Avenue High School and Bethpage High School, Newsday reported. He was flown to Cohen Children's Medical Center in New Hyde Park. A spokesman for the school district told Newsday the boy, who wasn't named, was released from the hospital Sunday morning.
