LONG ISLAND, NY — Don't put your umbrellas away just yet. Though most of Friday is going to be gorgeous and sunny, there's still rain in the forecast for the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday is going to be mostly sunny with a high near 62. But that wonderful weather may not stick around for long. There's a chance of rain coming in tonight and into Saturday.
Saturday's storms could be heavy at times, with the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Things should clear again Saturday night.

Sunday will start sunny, but there's a chance of isolated showers in the afternoon. Thankfully, the rain should be gone as we head into the new week.

Saturday: Scattered showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 56. South wind 9 to 14 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind around 8 mph.
Sunday: Isolated showers after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. West wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 38.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 59.
