“My concern is with the safety of our 40,000 uniformed daughters and sons in harms’ way in the Middle East and with the safety and security of our allies in Israel. For nearly half a century, the brutal and primitive fundamentalists ruling Iran have oppressed, repressed, murdered and tortured their own people while at the same time conducting asymmetrical warfare against the western democracies. While what goes around certainly comes around, all Americans must now stand together in unity in the face of this crisis.”
Following the military base strike on Monday, Gillen wrote: "I'm praying for our brave American service members stationed in the Middle East. It's critical that the Administration takes all necessary steps to ensure their safety and security."
Additionally, Suozzi wrote after the U.S. B2 bombers completed their mission, "let us pray for a path to peace."
