Nassau Man Gets 30 Years In Prison For Sexually Abusing 2 Young Girls
Officials say he was abusing the girls, who were sisters, when they were 8 and 5 years old.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A Levittown man was sentenced today to three decades in prison for sexually abusing two young girls in 2011 and 2012.
Manuel Cedillo, 43, was found guilty on Sept. 30 of first- and second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. He was sentenced today to an aggregate of 30 years in prison.
“The young victims in this case came in, bravely faced their abuser in court and told the truth about his crimes,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney. “Because of their courage, this defendant will deservedly serve a substantial prison sentence.”

According to Tierney, from 2011 to 2012, Cedillo sexually abused two young girls on separate occasions. The victims were sisters, ages 8 and 5 at the time of the abuse, and Cedillo was known to the family.
Cedillo sexually abused the older girl when she was 8 and 9 years old, and also molested the younger girl when she was between the ages of 5 and 6.

The abuse stopped when the older daughter told her mother that Cedillo was touching her inappropriately.
Eight years later, the older girl saw that Cedillo was looking at her posts on Instagram and thought he was stalking her. She told her mother about the abuse, and the younger sister also came forward and told their mother about the abuse.
