NEARBY: Woman Assaulted at East Meadow Park

Police say that a woman was sexually assaulted in the park on Sunday, according to an Eyewitness News report.

Police are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Speno Park in East Meadow on Sunday morning, according to an Eyewitness News report. 

According to Eyewitness News, the attack happened around 3 a.m. Reports said that the park was open on Sunday, but police had an area blocked off for their investigation. 

Nassau County Police have not released further details. Patch will provide more information as it becomes available.
