Summit Lane Celebrates the 100th Day of School

Story by Liz Sobel.

Levittown kindergarten students enrolled at Summit Lane Elementary School hosted a 100th Day of School celebration for parents, administrators and members of the Board of Education, during which they read poems and sang songs about the number 100 that they had learned throughout the week.

Prior to the celebration, the students had been engaged in a variety of activities, including learning to count to 100 in various ways, walking 100 steps to see where they would end up, and making paper hats with 100 stickers.

In addition, the students completed a “100 Day” project with their families and shared a 100-item collection with their classmates. It was a fun day for all.
