Suozzi Joins Bipartisan Congressional Group On D-Day Anniversary Trip
American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago.

WASHINGTON, DC — President Biden marked the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, a pivotal moment that led to Hitler's defeat. Biden took part in a ceremony with World War II veterans at a U.S. cemetery in Normandy.
The president was joined by a bipartisan group on the overseas trip, including Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-Glen Cove), who said on X that he'll pay respects at the grave of Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. by leaving some soil from his childhood home at Sagamore Hill.
"May we never forget the service and sacrifice of our 'Greatest Generation,'" Suozzi wrote.
