Tornado Warning Ends For Nassau County
The storm in the area no longer appears capable of producing a tornado, the National Weather Service says.

A tornado warning that was issued for northern Nassau County Thursday night has expired. There have been no confirmed reports of a tornado touching down in the area.
"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado," the National Weather Service said as the warning expired at 10:45 p.m.
The warning came out of nowhere at 10:18 p.m. The weather service did have scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for the area tonight, but there certainly was no mention of a possible tornado before the warning lit up cellphones in Nassau, Queens and the Bronx.
