The Chemical and Rescue Company One is holding its annual fundraiser on , , night at Firemen's Pavilion.

The festivities are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets to this annual comedy night - which benefits the LFD company and helps to support its efforts in keeping the community safe - costs $35.00 per person.

That includes a buffet dinner and show tickets, plus free beer, wine and soda, as well as door prizes.

The ’s Chemical and Rescue Squad was founded in 1926 after a plane crash on Barto Avenue, making Lindenhurst the first department in New York State with a rescue company.

Consisting of 37 men and women, the squad operates two ambulances, one heavy rescue truck and one first-responder vehicle, and average more than 2,000 calls per year - or seven or eight per day.
