Zumba fuses Latin and International dance rhythms to create a fun, easy cardiovascular workout. It also features some components of resistance and sculpting training to tone the entire body. Adult participants of any fitness level or any age could start Zumba, according to town officials.

However, Lindenhurst residents 16 years of age or older are eligible to sign up. Proof of age is required. Residents could register at the Town of Babylon Parks and Recreation Office in North Babylon at Phelps Lane Park, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Non-residents must register in person.

Residents could also register online at the town website here. There, they’ll need a user ID and password. If they don’t already have one, then they would need to go to the Parks and Recreation Office to obtain one. Proof of residency is once again required.

The cost is $60, and classes are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 11 to 27, from 7- 8 p.m. at Phelps Lane Pool Building in North Babylon.
