23-Year-Old CVS Worker Killed In Christmas Night Stabbing In Lindenhurst: Police
The suspect fled the scene on foot after stabbing a West Babylon man to death inside the store, Suffolk County police say.
LINDENHURST, NY — A 23-year-old CVS employee was fatally stabbed inside a Lindenhurst store on Christmas evening, and Suffolk County Police homicide detectives are investigating, police said.
First Precinct officers responded to a report of a stabbing at CVS, located at 20 East Montauk Highway, at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Thursday, according to Suffolk County police.
When officers arrived, they found an employee suffering from a stab wound to the chest inside the store, police said. The suspect — described by police as a white man who appeared to be in his 40s — had already fled the scene on foot.

The victim was identified as Edeedson Cine Jr., 23, of West Babylon. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad are continuing to investigate the incident. No arrests have been announced.
