Lindenhurst Man Arrested On Murder Charge In CVS Stabbing Death: Police
Police say the suspect was arrested one day after a 23-year-old CVS employee was stabbed to death inside the store on Christmas night.
LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old CVS employee on Christmas night, Suffolk County police said.
Homicide detectives arrested John Pilaccio, 43, of Lindenhurst, in connection with the stabbing death of Edeedson Cine Jr., 23, who was killed inside CVS at 20 East Montauk Highway on Christmas night, according to Suffolk County police.
Pilaccio was charged with second-degree murder, police said. He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court.

Police said First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing inside the store at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Christmas evening. When officers arrived, they found Cine, an employee of the store, suffering from a stab wound to the chest, police said. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect fled the scene on foot following the stabbing, police said. Detectives later arrested Pilaccio as part of the homicide investigation.
