Cap off the summer by heading to Overlook Beach for the Town of ’s annual .
Set to start on August 27 at 3 p.m., the family-friendly event features relay contests, games, face-painting, rides and an annual ice cream eating contest. Musical entertainment includes performances by Full House, Crush, Steakum Tuesday and St. Augustine.

The day culminates in the town’s 17th annual fireworks extravaganza presented by Bay Fireworks. The display begins at dusk, and can be seen from .
Parking is free to residents with , according to town officials. Extra parking is available at Cedar Beach and Cedar Beach Marina for residents only with a 2011 recreation permit, they added.
