Amityville School District Searches For New Mascot
The Amityville School District has launched a community survey to gather input on choosing a new mascot.

AMITYVILLE, NY —Amityville School District is enlisting its community to help choose a new mascot after dropping the Warriors mascot in light of the state ban on Native American names, mascots, and imagery.
The school district has started the process of identifying a new mascot and has launched a survey for all community members to share their input.
In a statement, the district said it encourages "all residents, faculty, staff and students to participate in the survey which will help to identify those values and themes that the district’s new mascot should represent."
