At The Library: Defensive Driving Courses, Outdoor Concert

Check out our local library's major events going on in the week ahead.

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week.

The Lindenhurst Memorial Library often hosts these events for little or no charge, so check out the top events going on this week.

  • The library is hosting an Outdoor Concert featuring The Pearl Street Band at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 19.
  • The library will host Mother Goose Time on Wednesday, August 21 at 9:45 a.m. for babies and toddlers up to 35 months with an adult. The free program includes informal playtime, songs, rhymes and finger-play.
  • A Defensive Driving Course will take place over two sessions at the library on Tuesday, August 20 (and August 27) for $35. Save some money on insurance and learn to drive better!
  • The library will show Geezers 3 as the Thursday Free Movie starting at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 22.
