August 11 Lindy Edition: Steak Fry & Movie

The week’s almost over, Lindy! As temps continue to climb this summer, here are some to help you stay and healthy during the heat of summer. Plus, be sure to check out of a South Shore beach.

Now, here’s what you need to know today:

1. The at Firemen's Memorial Park will be held today, , from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event raises money for the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club Scholarship Fund, to mainly benefit students.

3. There are several events happening at the , including the weekly Thursday at 1:30 p.m.: (original title: Genova).

5. The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421’s social quarters is open for lunch on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

6. Doors open for the weekly Thursday bingo at the Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council #794 at 5:30 p.m. It’ll start at 7:15 p.m.

7. The 2011-12 supply list and elementary school supply list are now available on the ’s website. The 2011-12 calendar is also available.
