Babylon Ranger Shoots Man In Chest After Knife Attack: Police
The man lunged at the ranger with a knife in Tanner Park Marina, police say.
COPIAGUE, NY — A man was shot by a Town of Babylon park ranger, after he lunged at them with a knife at Tanner Park Marina on Saturday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
At about 4:45 p.m, the ranger responded to complaints of a suspicious person at Tanner Park Marina, located at 123 Baylawn Ave, in Copiague, police said.
The man lunged at the ranger with a knife. The ranger then shot the man once in the chest, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The park ranger was
taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.
