Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Suffolk Hit-And-Run: Police
The bicyclist was struck by a car on Wednesday night, police say.

AMITYVILLE, NY — A bicyclist is seriously injured, after he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Amityville on Tuesday night, Suffolk County police said.
The 64-year-old man, of Amityville, was riding a Huffy Bicycle eastbound on Merrick Road, near Bayview Avenue, at about 8:45 p.m., when he was struck by a motor vehicle, police said.
The car, which described as a dark-colored sedan, fled northbound on Bayview Avenue.

The bicyclist was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip in serious condition, police said.
