Block Party Shooting Hospitalizes Young Man On Long Island: Police

A 20-year-old man was shot at a Long Island block party on Saturday night, Suffolk County police say.

WYANDANCH, NY — A young man was shot in the leg during a dispute at a Long Island block party on Saturday night, Suffolk County police told Patch.

Police said two males were involved in a dispute during a large block party on Parkway Boulevard in Wyandanch when one of them fired and shot the other in the leg around 10:25 p.m.

The shooter fled the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
