Boy Scouts Collect 20+ Boxes Of Nonperishables For Copiague Pantry

The scouts collected more than 20 boxes of food for the Copiague School District's Eagle's Nest food pantry.

COPIAGUE, NY — Several members of the Copiague community are getting a head start at helping those in need for Thanksgiving.

Andrew Falco, a student at Walter G. O'Connel Copiauge High School, and fellow scouts, collected more than 20 boxes of nonperishable food for Copiague School District’s Eagle’s Nest food pantry.

Andrew, a member of Boy Scout Troop 2000 of Copiague, and with fellow scouts Steven Falco, Kayden Callaghan, Vincent Zito and Eric Meyers, organized the food drive at Fine Fare supermarket, located at 870 Merrick Rd, Copiague.

Andrew is currently working on his service project for his Life rank.

The scouts chose to help Copiague Eagle’s Nest food pantry because the students wanted to help the people of their community, a news release said.
