Cosmetology Program Comes To Lindenhurst High School
Lindenhurst High School celebrated the grand opening of its new cosmetology classroom in late September.
LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst High School celebrated the grand opening of its new cosmetology classroom in late September.
According to district officials, the suite is equipped with all the tools necessary for students to gain hands-on experience in hair, makeup, nails, and skincare, under the guidance of experienced instructor, Jaclyn Coscia.
This new classroom is part of the high school’s ongoing efforts to expand in-house, career training opportunities for students which include construction, architecture, cyber security, computer programming, business, commercial culinary arts, and auto repair.

"Our district is proud to provide another pathway for our students to succeed beyond the classroom," said Superintendent of Schools Vincent A. Caravana. "There is no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving career success, and we are pleased to offer them an early start in pursuing their passions."
With the growing popularity and demand for skills in the cosmetology field, this new classroom represents the latest addition to the school’s career training options, ensuring students have diverse pathways to success after graduation.
