Curbing, Brick Pavers Being Replaced at Wellwood & E. Gates
Damaged corner will be repaired by a North Babylon concrete company.

The Lindenhurst Village Board approved a North Babylon company to begin work on the curbing, brick pavers and aprons on the corner of South Wellwood Avenue and East Gates Avenue at a public meeting on June 4.
The board approved Sager Concrete of North Babylon to begin work on the street corners, which have been damaged by cars and natural causes.
Construction was seen on the eastern corner on Tuesday morning, as workers dug out old bricks and aprons to begin the fix.
The cost to the village will be $40 per linear foot of curbing, $15 per square foot of brick pavers and $15 per square foot of aprons.
Funding for the project will be appropriated from the New York State onsolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) funds.
