DWI Checkpoint Nabs Lindenhurst Resident
Police say George LaFlare was driving while intoxicated.

A Lindenhurst resident was among 13 people arrested on Friday night as part of a sobriety checkpoint operation in Huntington Station, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, George LaFlare, 30, of Lindenhurst, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
Police said the July 13 sobriety checkpoint was conducted on Route 110 by Suffolk Police, New York State Police and New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police as part of an operation to prevent injuries and fatalities associated with DWI.

A total of 662 vehicles went through the checkpoint.
LaFlare was scheduled to be arraigned at First District County Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
