Early-Morning Fire Damages Home In Lindenhurst

Firefighters were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at a home on South 5th Street early Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to fire officials. First-arriving chiefs confirmed active fire conditions at the rear of a single-story home, prompting a coordinated fire attack.

Firefighters secured a water supply and stretched multiple hose lines while crews worked to knock down the fire. The blaze was brought under control, officials said.
