Empty in Lindy: Former Day Care

A sure sign of the tough economic times is the number of For Sale and For Rent signs you see in the Village and North Lindenhurst.

If you go down Wellwood Avenue, Sunrise Highway, Hoffman Avenue, Montauk Highway or other major roads in the area, residents are sure to find a few.

During the next few months, Lindenhurst Patch is going to some of those properties and ask you what you'd like to see in there.
This week, Patch is looking at the space formerly occupied by Tiny Tots Town at 109 N. Wellwood Ave.

Tiny Tots Town was a small day-care facility and children’s party center that was open for roughly two years in the late 2000’s. The storefront closed around 2010 and has been only occupied by the Lindenhurst Join Civic Association’s Adopt-a-Window program.

The 1,900 square-foot space is available to be rented and is close to the municipal parking lot and Long Island Rail Road station.

What would you like to see move into this location? A gift shop? A clothing or retail store? A small cafe? Leave your ideas in the comments below.
