Firefighters Battle House Fire On Long Island: Police

Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out in a Long Island home on Monday evening, according to Suffolk County police.

WYANDANCH, NY — Long Island firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out in Wheatley Heights on Monday evening, Suffolk County police told Patch.

Wyandanch Fire Company crews were activated for a house fire at 5 Howard St. around 7:30 p.m., police said.

Police said no injuries were reported and that the arson squad is investigating.
