Hess' Gas Pumps Reopened After Canopy Replacement

Gas pumps turned back on following nearly two week closure.

Just over a week-and-a-half after deconstruction began, the Lindenhurst Hess gas station has reopened its pumps for use after the business' canopy was replaced.

"The Lindenhurst station is undergoing a canopy replacement which started earlier this week. We expect the work to be completed next week," a company spokesperson told Patch last week after several readers noted the canopy had been pulled down.

The new canopy does not appear to have many structural differences from the previous version, although a paint job seems to still be on tap for the purely white rimmed roof.

The station, located at 274 East Montauk Highway, was closed for business for the last 10 days while the canopy was rebuilt.

The convenience store, of course, remained open.
