A hit-and-run crash killed a man on Long Island Friday night, according to Suffolk County police.
WYANDANCH, NY — A hit-and-run crash killed a man on Long Island Friday night, according to Suffolk County police.
A man was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Wyandanch Avenue, west of Mount Avenue, around 7:30 p.m., police said. The driver then fled the scene, continuing eastbound toward Mount Avenue, police said.
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
