KPMG, National Grid Donate Books to Rall Elementary

Children receive book with hopes of helping them cope in the aftermath of storm.

KPMG and National Grid teamed up on Friday to donate over 500 new books to children in the first, second and third grades at William Rall Elementary School.

The companies donated the book "The Horrible, Horrible Hurricane" by Dee Andopho Schockley to the students. The book's plot revolves around a family whose family beach vacation is ruined by a hurricane. All proceeds from the books' purchase by the company went to Sandy recovery charities in the area.

National Grid also donated $5,000 to Hurricane Sandy Recovery Charities in the tri-state area. The books were presented to the children by more than two dozen employee volunteers from KPMG and National Grid who also sat and read the books with the children.

After the book was read the children then shared their experiences during Superstorm Sandy.
