Last Chance: Public Hearing at Village Hall

Tonight's Lindenhurst Village Board meeting will include a public hearing about vehicles and traffic patterns. Highlights for April 17 also include Babylon Town board and North Lindenhurst Civic Association meetings, plus a few PTA meetings.

Here's your "Last Chance" reminder that there's a public hearing tonight at at 7:30 p.m.

Public Hearing and Village Board
It'll be part of the regular April 17 Board of Trustees , and will focus on vehicle (parking) situations and traffic patterns at various locations around the Village, according to officials.

Some of locations include Gates and Wellwood Avenues where the no right on red sign had been removed and a request for a one-way street sign near .

"The school crossing guards have requested having no right on red brought back during school times," according to Deputy Village Administrator Doug Madlon and Trustee Maryann Weckerle.

They also said that the neighbors who live near the elemenntary school requested a look at implementing a one-way traffic sign on one of the streets near the school.

In relation to the school the street parking situation for residents and teachers and teacher aides at the school will also be discussed, since there's very limited parking and many of the aides have been receiving parking tickets.

Also to be discussed is the traffic pattern for North Lewis Avenue by the .

Other Meetings
In addition to the public hearing and Village board meeting, the Babylon Board will meet this afternoon at at 3:30 p.m.

There are also a couple of PTA meetings tonight, too. The Alleghany PTA will meet at 7:30 p.m. while the PTA will hold an executive meeting at 7:30 p.m. The LHS PTSA will also hold an executive meeting
