LI Cub Scouts Celebrate Arrow Of Light Ceremony
The Village of Lindenhurst celebrated the Cub Scout Arrow of Light ceremony in April, the highest award a Cub Scout can achieve.

LINDENHURST, NY — A pack of Long Island Cub Scouts are moving up in the ranks.
Lindenhurst Cub Scout Pack 498 recently held an Arrow of Light Ceremony, which marks the transition of a Cub Scout from the Webelos program in 5th grade to the Boy Scouts.
"I am so proud to acknowledge and honor the dedicated Cub Scouts who completed the many requirements to achieve their Arrow of Light rank," said Deputy Mayor RJ Renna. "Great work and best of luck as you cross the bridge into the Boy Scouts of America."

The Arrow of Light ceremony involves a symbolic "bridge," celebrates the completion of Cub Scouting and the beginning of a new Scouting adventure. It's a significant milestone, acknowledging the completion of the highest rank in Cub Scouting and the Scout's advancement to the Boy Scout program.
