Lindenhurst Boy Scout Attains Eagle Award
Michael Duffy help lead the restoration of a statue at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

A Lindenhurst Boy Scout was congratulated by local governmental officials as he earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout on May 22.
Michael Duffy, a member of Boy Scout Troop 54 in Lindenhurst, was honored in a ceremony on May 22 as he reached the highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America.
Duffy's Eagle Scout project was a restoration and beautification of the Blessed Mother Statue at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He led a group of volunteers to clean and paint the statue, clean and repair the veteran's plaque, landscape and plant new flowers as well as installing a new decorative bench.
Town Councilmen Tom Donnelly was on hand to congratulate Duffy on his well-earned achievement.
