The first meeting of the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce packed the house at Sand City Brewery. While the Chamber leadership discussed plans for upcoming events, the owner of Pita Bowl catered, and everyone feasted on delicious greek cuisine. At the same time, new leaders emerged to conduct ice-breakers giving everyone a chance to know more about the businesses and services in Lindy and beyond! The Lindy Chamber is famous for the Wednesdays On Wellwood (WOW) gatherings that bring thousands to Main Street all summer long and for sponsoring the beautiful carousel for our youngest citizens at the Winter On Wellwood Celebration. The members continued the spirit of partnership and dedication to good work and presented a check to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Kevin McCaffery, presiding officer of the Suffolk County Legislature, was on board to support the Chamber.
