Lindenhurst Cub Scout Receives Arrow of Light Award

Liam Lynch, a member of Pack 1421, which is based out of the Lindenhurst Moose Lodge, reaches the highest honor a Cub Scout could achieve.

A young Lindenhurst resident recently attained the highest honor for a Cub Scout could achieve: the Arrow of Light award.

Liam Lynch - a member of Cub Scout Pack 1421, which is based out of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421, located on South Broadway in Lindenhurst - was given the honor in a ceremony on March 3, according to officials from the Town of , which sent representation to help honor the young scout.

According to officials, recipients of this award frequently move on to Boy Scouts, and sometimes even Eagle Scouts.

In addition to Babylon Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer, Town of Babylon Deputy Supervisor and Councilman Tony Martinez and Councilman Tom Donnelly, Lynch's uncle, John Lynch, attended the ceremony along with Royal Order of the Moose Lodge 1421 Governor Sal Guadagnino, LOOM Treasurer Ed Blankenhorn, Village of Lindenhurst Trustee Mike Lavorata and Suffolk County Legislature Deputy Presiding Officer Wayne Horsley.
