Lindenhurst Force Soccer Nets Two Weekend Wins
Local BU12 travel team continues winning ways with victories over Stony Brook and North Merrick.
The Lindenhurst Force BU12 Travel Soccer Team continued its winning ways this weekend, first defeating Stony Brook 3-0 on Saturday in Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) competition, and then South Merrick 3-1 in NYCSL competition on Sunday.
Jason Koehler opened the scoring on September 24 with a penalty kick in the first half, and Lindy never looked back.
Frank Pisano, one of Lindy's newest additions, added a goal in the second half, and Koehler finished off Stony Brook with his second goal of the match on an assist by John Brostowski.

The next day Midfielder Sean Kennedy blasted a shot from the outside putting Lindy ahead.
After South Merrick made a brief comeback, Koehler once again gave Lindy the lead. Then Midfielder Noah Daniels added one more for a final score of 3-1.

The team is part of the Lindenhurst Junior Squire Soccer League, which is based out of the , located at 293 Buffalo Avenue.
