Lindenhurst Named Tree City USA Community
The Village of Lindenhurst has received this designation for nearly 40 years.

LINDENHURST, NY — The Village of Lindenhurst has been named a Tree City USA community by the National Arbor Day Foundation, officials announced earlier this month.
This is the 36th year that the village has received this designation for its commitment to urban forestry, officials said in a statement.
"We all benefit when communities like Lindenhurst place a high priority on planting and caring for trees, one of our nation’s most beautiful resources," said village trustee Doug Madlon. "Trees shade our homes and add beauty to our neighborhoods and they also provide many environmental, economic and social benefits."
